Online Learning System Requirements

All Independence Community College online students must have regular access to the Internet and a computer that meets the minimum standards listed here. Keep in mind that the minimum requirements may be slow and cause you some frustration.

Students will also need an e-mail account. One either provided by Independence Community College (recommended) or by a legit provider (such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, or a local ISP). A word processing software program is required, but the recommended software is Microsoft Office 2007. In some courses, Microsoft Office 2007 is required software. Anti-virus software is also very highly recommended.
